What to bring when you apply
You need to set up an appointment with your nearest relationship manager and provide us with the following documents:
- Your business registration documents such as business name registration certificate (in case of sole traders or partnerships), or company registration certificate and other company formation documents such as memorandum and articles of association (in case of companies)
- Business licence certificate if applicable to your business type
- Documentary proof of business address
- A valid identification document such as passport or national identity card for the proprietor, partners, shareholders and/or directors
- Documentary proof of address such as a utility bill (not more than 3 months old) for proprietor, partners, shareholders and/or directors
Please note:
- Absa reserves the right to accept or decline any application based on internal policy. We may request additional documentation as deemed necessary.
- If you do not receive any bills in your name, you may bring along the bill of the owner of your residence with proof of relationship.

- We offer commercial foreign currency current accounts in US dollar (USD), euro (EUR), Swiss franc (CHF) and British pound sterling (GBP). These accounts feature a maintenance fee and may be linked to a chequebook. There are no minimum balances on the account
- No interest is paid on the credit balance in your commercial foreign currency current account
- A penalty charge is applicable on unauthorised overdrawn balances on this account

- As your business growth gains momentum, and your banking requirements begin to diversify, we can offer you a call account with the added benefit of some interest on your funds depending on market conditions. We offer call accounts in both local and foreign currencies. Your choice of account currencies varies from (Seychelles rupees (SCR), euro (EUR), US dollar (USD) and British pound (GBP).
- There are no minimum balances and maintenance fee on the account. This is a non-transactional account. Funds will have to be transferred to current account for any transactions. Free statements are available as per your requirement to assist you in tracking your business activities.
